Equipment

  • 1 Meat mallet/tenderizer
  • 1 Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 lb chicken breast skinless
  • 0.5 oz olive oil
  • salt & pepper for flavoring

Optional for more flavor

  • any of your preferred seasonings  before placing the chicken on the pan
  • Dried parsley or other herbs sprinkle on after the chicken before serving
  • A knob of butter on the pan once you’ve turned the heat to medium

Instructions
 

  • Use a meat mallet/tenderizer to pound the chicken breast into an even thickness
  • Season the chicken breast evenly on both sides with grounded salt and pepper
  • Add olive oil to the pan and get the pan hot.
  • Place chicken breast into the pan and sear on high heat on both sides for 2 minutes until a nice sear and caramelization is reached
  • Lower the heat to medium and let the chicken cook for an additional 1 minute on each side.(Optionally can add a knob of butter in this step for more flavor)
  • Let the chicken breast rest on a cutting board for a minute or two.
  • Serve the chicken breast in one piece or cut it into even slices next to any of your preferred side dishes.
